     Transcribed from Case: "educated in his native town and Pittsfield Academy, Mass; graduated from Pittsfield Medical College and the College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City; began the practice of his profession in Penn Yan, where he remained but a few years, after which he opened an office in New York City, where he passed the remainder of his life."2
