     Eliakim Goodrich was born on 28 November 1762 at Glastonbury, Connecticut.2 He was the son of Elisha Goodrich and Lucy Goodrich.1 He married Sarah Leland on 13 January 1781.2 He died on 11 October 1824 at age 61.2

     Transcribed from Case: "Born and lived in Glastonbury, Conn., until 1802, when he, in company with Judge Noah Goodrich,(I believe Noah to be Case #410) moved to Owego, N.Y. They came with ox-teams and sleds through the wilderness and purchased a large tract of land near by where the village of Owego now stands, known to this day as the "Goodrich Settlement." They cleared their land, owning all their farming implements in partnership. What was then a dense wooded wilderness is now a most fruitful field. Their principal means for supplying themselves with the necessaries of life was to run rafts of lumber down the river to market, and walking back."2

     Transcribed from Case: "This family was all baptized June 20, 1802, as recorded by the first church in Glastonbury, Conn. No further record or trace of the family has been found. The father died about 1810, perhaps some years earlier."2

     Noah Goodrich was born on 30 August 1764.2 He has also been reported to have been born 31 August 1764.1 He was the son of Ephraim Goodrich and Penelope Tryon.1 He married first Prudence Goodrich, daughter of David Goodrich and Sarah Edwards, on 23 November 1786.2 He married second Ruth Goodrich, daughter of Jeremiah Goodrich and Hepzibah Edwards, on 31 October 1813.3 He died on 19 July 1834 at age 69.2 He resided at Owego, New York.2

     Note: Please read the source citation detail for the marriage of Noah and Ruth. In addition to that, I want to add that I am skeptical of some of the data on this family. While it is possible that Prudence was having children well into her fifties, I am hard pressed to accept that without further proofs.
