     Michael Goodrich was born on 23 March 1747.2 He was the son of Elnathan Goodrich and Elizabeth Showers.1 He married first Ann (?).2 He married second Martha (?).2 He died on 17 August 1825 at Walton, New York, at age 78.2

     Transcribed from Case: "Settled in Sharon on a farm; enlisted in the spring of 1775, in the war of the Revolution in Capt. Samuel Elmore's company and Col. Hinman's regiment; served for 10 months; in February, 1776, he again enlisted for one year, at Sharon, in Capt. Oliver Parmalee's company and Col. Charles Burrill's regiment; was discharged Nov. 27, 1776 at Fort George, located at the south end of Lake George; he was called out as one of the militia on alarms; was in the engagement when Danbury, Conn., was burned; joined in the pursuit of the enemy as they retreated to their vessels, lying off the mouth of the Housatonic; was also present at the surrender of Burgoyne at Saratoga; when he removed to Delaware County, N.Y., is not positively known, but believed to be about 1787; he died at Walton, N.Y."2

     Note: Since the data Case put forth does not give any clues as to which wife was the mother of which children, I have entered the children in the database without a mother at all. Hopefully further research will clear this up in time.
