     John Y. Goodrich was born on 7 February 1842.2 He was the son of Horace Goodrich and Elizabeth Dickinson.1 He has also been reported to have been born 7 February 1852.1 He died on 29 August 1872 at age 30.1

     Note: I have a feeling that John's birth date is a typo by Case. I believe it should be 1842 not 1852. My reasons are the fact the his sister Harriet, (second child by that name) is listed after John and has a birth date of 1844. This is strictly a guess on my part though. As such I have made the 1842 birth date primary in the database and that is what his age is based on. Once I find out which is correct, I will make the necessary changes. One more thing I find strange with this entry is the fact that Case has his death date as the exact same date as the death of his father Horace.2
