     Jeduthan Goodrich was born on 2 June 1759 at Wethersfield, Connecticut.1 He began active life on his father's vessel. He became a ship master in his twenty first year, and during that year captured a British vessel and brought it into port. Relics taken from that vessel are still in the possession of Goodrich families in Connecticut.2 He was the son of Wait Goodrich and Hannah Smith.1 He died onboard his vessel off the coast of Africa on 4 March 1791 at age 31. He died without issue and was buried onshore.2

He became a first mate and was acting in that capacity at the time of his death.2 He was the son of Wait Goodrich and Hannah Smith.1 He died when he was lost overboard in a heavy gale on 22 December 1786 at age 25. He died without issue.1
