     Benjamin Franklin Goodrich was born on 4 November 1841 at Ripley, New York.² He was the son of Anson Goodrich and Susan Dinsmore.¹ He married Mary Marvin of Jamestown, New York, daughter of Richard P. Marvin, on 4 November 1869.³

     Transcribed from Case: "received his education at the Westfield and Fredonia academies, N.Y., and at the Austinburgh Academy, Ohio; at seventeen, he commenced the study of medicine with Dr. John Spencer, at Westfield; attended the Western Reserve College of Medicine at Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated in February, 1861, at twenty years of age. In May succeeding, received a certificate as assistant-surgeon, and in July, 1861, enlisted as hospital steward in the Ninth New-York Cavalry. In April, 1862, was made acting assistant-surgeon in the United States army, and was assigned to the battalion of U.-S. Engineers, and attached to the headquarters of the Army of the Potomac, where he served until the fall of 1864, when he resigned and left the army. He practised medicine at Jamestown, N.Y., one year, and then went to New York, where he engaged in business and remained until the fall of 1870, when he left, and established at Akron, Ohio, a factory for the manufacture of India-rubber goods, under the name of the "B.F. Goodrich Company," which, by his energy and skill, has become one of the most successful and prosperous business enterprises of that kind in the country."⁴

     Delia Goodrich was born on 2 November 1823.¹ She was the daughter of George Goodrich and Tryphena Parsons.¹ She died on 23 August 1845 at age 21.¹

     Gertrude Goodrich was born on 11 January 1825.¹ She was the daughter of George Goodrich and Tryphena Parsons.¹ She married C. A. Bronson.¹

     C. A. Bronson married Gertrude Goodrich, daughter of George Goodrich and Tryphena Parsons.¹

     Milton P. Goodrich was born on 2 September 1826.¹ He was the son of George Goodrich and Tryphena Parsons.¹ He has also been reported to have been born 22 September 1826.² He married first Martha F. Mason on 2 September 1851.² He and Martha F. Mason were divorced on 31 December 1869.² He married second Lucretia S. Kester on 18 October 1870.² He died on 19 March 1881 at age 54.² He resided at Ripley, New York.²

     Evans Goodrich was born on 6 July 1828.² He was the son of George Goodrich and Tryphena Parsons.¹ He married Mary Rathburn on 21 July 1855.² He resided at Mankato, Minnesota.²
